Terms of Use

Effective Date: October 2025

Business ID: 3637489-9

Location: Finland

Key principles

  • Tyoon is a marketplace and intermediary: we are not a party to the service agreement between a customer and a provider.
  • Service quality, performance of agreed work, and disputes primarily concern the users; contractual liability for the job lies with the parties.
  • The platform connects parties, enables communication, and may moderate content where reasonable — we do not guarantee every listing or user is verified. We do not process customer payment for the work.
  • Fees and settlement are explained on a dedicated page: Payments & platform fee

1. Introduction

Welcome to Tyoon ("we", "our", "us"). Tyoon is a digital platform that connects clients ("Customers") and service providers ("Providers") for completing various tasks and small projects.

By using Tyoon, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Definitions

  • Platform – the Tyoon website and related services.
  • User – any individual or company registered on the platform (Customer or Provider).
  • Customer – a person or company that posts a task or project.
  • Provider – a person or company that offers services or completes tasks.
  • Account – a registered user profile on Tyoon.
  • Stripe – the third-party payment processor used for the provider’s platform fee to Tyoon.

3. Eligibility

To use Tyoon, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have legal capacity to enter into contracts.
  • Provide accurate and truthful information during registration (including name, email, and Y-tunnus).
  • Comply with all applicable Finnish and EU laws.

4. User Accounts

  • Users register with an email address or Google account.
  • Each user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login information.
  • Tyoon reserves the right to restrict, suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms.
  • Users may delete their account at any time.

5. Platform Role and Responsibility

  • Tyoon acts solely as an intermediary connecting Customers and Providers.
  • We do not employ Providers or guarantee task completion.
  • We are not a party to any service agreement between Customers and Providers.
  • Users are solely responsible for the accuracy of information they share.
  • Tyoon may moderate content but is not obligated to verify every listing or user.

Licensed and Regulated Work

Certain services offered or requested through the Platform may be subject to licences, authorisations, registrations, professional qualifications, permits or other legal requirements under Finnish or applicable law.

Providers are solely responsible for ensuring that they hold all licences, authorisations, registrations, qualifications and permits required to lawfully perform the services they offer.

Customers are responsible for assessing whether the selected Provider is appropriately authorised or qualified for the work in question. Where applicable, Customers should verify the Provider's credentials through the relevant official authority or register before the work begins.

Unless Tyoon explicitly states that a particular licence, qualification or authorisation has been verified, the publication of a Provider profile, offer or Task on the Platform does not constitute confirmation by Tyoon that the Provider is authorised or qualified to perform regulated work.

Tyoon does not grant professional licences or authorisations and is not responsible for obtaining licences, permits or regulatory approvals on behalf of Users.

Providers must not offer or perform services through Tyoon where they do not meet the legal requirements applicable to such services.

6. Payments and Fees

  • The only payment through Tyoon is the provider’s platform fee to Tyoon. The customer pays Tyoon nothing. Settlement for the work is arranged between the parties outside Tyoon’s payment rails.
  • Tyoon charges a service fee to the provider for using the platform (shown in advance).
  • Providers are responsible for declaring their income and paying taxes according to Finnish law.
  • Tyoon does not store full payment information (such as card numbers).
  • The platform fee is currently 10% of the final order amount agreed between the Customer and the Provider for the work performed; documented costs of materials purchased for the Customer are not included in the fee base. The fee is shown transparently before the deal is accepted.
  • The fee becomes payable by the provider when the work is completed—after the customer confirms completion based on the agreed terms. It is paid separately (e.g. via Stripe).
  • We do not use escrow and do not hold customer funds for work payment. Stripe is used for the provider’s platform fee to Tyoon.

7. Prohibited Activities

Communication rules

Until the Customer has accepted an offer, Users must not publish or request phone numbers, email addresses, messaging-app or social-media links, links to external websites, or other contact details or external-resource links. This prohibition applies to comments, profile description, first name, last name, display name, Task description and other publicly visible fields on the Platform. After an offer has been accepted, Tyoon will provide the selected Customer and Provider with the contact details needed to perform that order.

Task comments are visible to the Customer and to other Providers who have access to the Task. Personal or confidential data must not be posted in comments.

Profile description, name fields and other public profile fields must not be used to publish contact details or links to external resources. The profile remains visible to other Users regardless of whether an offer has been accepted.

Information needed to calculate an offer and understand the scope of work is allowed: for example equipment model, dimensions, photos, or other details of the Task. This does not include personal, confidential or contact data.

Users must not publish their own contact details, nor third-party contact details without a genuine need.

Violation of the Terms of Service

In addition to the communication rules, Users must not use the Platform in ways that violate these Terms, applicable law or the rights of others. In particular, Users must not:

  • Post false, misleading or illegal information.
  • Use the Platform for fraudulent or harmful purposes.
  • Circumvent the Platform to avoid the platform fee — including intentionally reporting, confirming or agreeing on an order amount lower than the amount actually agreed between the Customer and the Provider, or splitting, concealing or moving part of the compensation outside the reported order amount.
  • Use comments or personal data obtained through the Platform to arrange performance of the same Task outside Tyoon in order to avoid the platform fee.
  • Upload viruses, malware or harmful content.
  • Infringe intellectual property rights of others.
  • Offer or perform regulated services without the licences, authorisations, registrations or professional qualifications required by applicable law.

Offer pricing

Providers must submit genuine offers. The price stated in an offer must reflect the amount the Provider genuinely proposes to charge for the described work based on the information reasonably available at the time of the offer.

Providers must not submit a nominal, symbolic or artificially low offer price with the intention of agreeing a materially different price with the Customer outside the Platform or avoiding or reducing Tyoon's platform fee.

An offer may be revised where the scope of work, circumstances or Customer requirements change after further assessment.

If the scope of work changes after an offer has been accepted, the final price must be updated in Tyoon so that it matches the amount actually agreed.

If the communication rules or the Terms of Service are violated, Tyoon may remove or hide the relevant content and temporarily restrict the ability to post comments, send offers, or use certain service functions. The nature of the violation and whether it is repeated are taken into account when determining the restriction. The User will be notified of the reason and duration of the restriction.

Violation of these rules may result in restrictions or suspension of the User's account, or legal action.

8. Content Ownership

  • Users retain ownership of the content they upload (texts, photos, documents).
  • By uploading, you grant Tyoon a non-exclusive right to display and process this content as part of the service.
  • Tyoon retains all rights to its trademarks, branding, and platform software.

9. Limitation of Liability

Tyoon is not responsible for:

  • The quality or outcome of any task.
  • Delays, damages, or disputes between Customers and Providers.
  • Losses resulting from incorrect use of the platform.
  • Tyoon does not warrant every provider’s skills or background; we may perform selective checks or moderation but do not fully vet all profiles.
  • Tyoon is not responsible for a Provider's failure to obtain or maintain any licence, authorisation, registration, professional qualification or permit required for the services they perform, except to the extent that liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
  • We are not liable for indirect or direct damages arising from services arranged via the platform (including delays or property damage), except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tyoon's liability is limited to the amount of service fees paid by the user in the previous 6 months.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • Disputes between Customers and Providers should first be resolved directly between the parties.
  • If necessary, Tyoon may mediate but is not obligated to.
  • Finnish law applies to all disputes, and the competent court is located in Helsinki, Finland.

11. Enforcement, Suspension and Termination

Tyoon may take proportionate measures where a User violates these Terms, applicable Payment Terms, or applicable law.

Depending on the nature, seriousness and frequency of the violation, such measures may include:

  • removal or hiding of prohibited content or contact information;
  • a warning or request to correct the violation;
  • temporary restriction of certain Platform functions;
  • temporary suspension of the Account; or
  • termination of the Account in cases of serious or repeated violations.

Examples of conduct that may result in restrictions include repeated attempts to avoid the platform fee, intentionally reporting false prices, repeatedly sharing contact information in breach of the Platform rules, fraudulent activity, providing materially false account information, or offering regulated services without the legally required authorisation.

Where reasonably possible and appropriate, Tyoon will inform the affected User of the reason for a restriction, suspension or termination and provide an opportunity to clarify or correct the matter.

Tyoon may take immediate action without prior warning where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, unlawful activity, threats to Platform security, harm to other Users, or other serious violations.

Users may contact Tyoon Support if they believe an enforcement decision was made in error.

Users may terminate their account at any time by contacting:
