Tyoon payments & platform fee

Effective date: April 2026

Business ID: 3637489-9

1. General information

Tyoon is a platform that helps customers and service providers find each other and agree on work to be performed.

The service contract is concluded directly between the customer and the provider. Tyoon does not currently process payment for the work from the customer to the provider. The only payment through Tyoon is the provider’s platform fee to Tyoon.

For general platform rules, see the Terms of Use.

2. Platform fee

Tyoon charges a service fee to the provider for using the platform.

The fee is always shown in advance—before the provider accepts an offer or confirms the order:

  • a fixed 10% of the final order amount agreed between the Customer and the Provider

The commission amount in euros depends on the final agreed price of the work. We may change the fee by updating the terms on this page.

The provider always sees the fee and the amount owed to the platform in advance—with no hidden charges. Tyoon does not pay the provider the price of the work.

The platform fee is calculated from the price of the work (labour and services). Documented costs of materials purchased for the Customer are not included in the fee base, provided they are separately identified and reasonably evidenced (for example by receipts or invoices).

3. When the fee is charged

The platform fee becomes payable when the order is completed:

  • after the customer confirms that the work is done
  • or otherwise according to the terms agreed for the order

The fee is calculated from the total final order amount actually agreed between the Customer and the Provider.

4. Who pays the fee

The platform fee is paid by the provider.

  • The fee is calculated from the final order amount agreed between the Customer and the Provider for the work performed. Documented materials purchased for the Customer are excluded as set out in section 2.
  • The provider pays the fee separately to Tyoon (it is not deducted from a Tyoon payout—there is no such payout).
  • The exact fee is shown to the provider in advance, before they accept the deal terms.

The customer pays Tyoon nothing—neither for the work nor a platform fee. Settlement for the work is arranged between the parties outside Tyoon’s payment rails.

The provider is solely responsible for declaring income and paying taxes in accordance with Finnish law.

5. Final order amount and fee circumvention

The platform fee is calculated from the total final amount actually agreed between the Customer and the Provider for the work performed under the order.

If the scope or price of the work changes after the original offer is accepted, the Provider must ensure that the final order amount reported to Tyoon reflects the actual amount agreed with the Customer.

Users must not intentionally report, confirm or record an amount lower than the actual agreed price for the purpose of reducing or avoiding Tyoon's platform fee.

Users must not split, conceal or otherwise structure payments for the purpose of reducing or avoiding the platform fee, including by agreeing to report only part of the actual compensation through Tyoon.

The platform fee remains applicable where the Customer and Provider were connected through Tyoon and compensation relating to the Task is subsequently agreed or paid outside the Platform.

Communication, invoicing or payment outside Tyoon does not by itself remove the obligation to report the actual final price of the work to Tyoon.

Where additional work is agreed in connection with the original Task, the Provider must include such work in the final reported amount to the extent that it forms part of the service provided to the Customer.

Documented material costs purchased for the Customer remain excluded from the fee base in accordance with these Payment Terms, provided they are separately identified and reasonably evidenced. Treating labour or other compensation as materials, or failing to evidence material costs, does not exclude those amounts from the platform fee.

Tyoon may request reasonable evidence of the agreed final price where there are reasonable grounds to believe that the amount reported through the Platform is incomplete or inaccurate.

If the reported amount is found to be incorrect, Tyoon may calculate the platform fee based on the verified final order amount and request payment of any unpaid platform fee.

Intentional or repeated attempts to avoid the platform fee may result in restrictions or suspension of the User's account in accordance with the Terms of Use.

6. Stripe and paying the fee

The provider’s platform fee may be paid via a licensed payment provider (Stripe).

Stripe is not used for customer payment for the work, and not for holding funds / escrow.

The platform does not store full bank card details. Stripe’s terms apply to fee payments.

7. Frequently asked questions

Does the customer pay Tyoon or through Tyoon?
No. The customer pays Tyoon nothing.
Is there a commission?
Yes. Providers typically owe 10% of the final agreed price of the work after the order is completed. Documented costs of materials purchased for the Customer are not included. The fee is paid separately via Stripe.
Are materials included in the 10% fee?
No. The platform fee is calculated from the price of the work. Documented costs of materials purchased for the Customer are excluded from the fee base if they are separately identified and reasonably evidenced.
